The Burgess Story
A New Chapter in our Life!!!!!
Still considering ourselves young, we decided to go full-time in our motorhome five years ago. Time is of the essence when it comes to our lives and traveling was in our minds, especially while our health permits. We had sold our Park Model in the Good Life RV Resort in Bartow and took to the road. We spent our first season living full-time in the motorhome right in Baseball City (Davenport) while working at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. We had worked there part-time 6 1/2 years. Our motto "WOOW" stands for "we're on our way!"
Enjoying our Rig!!!!!!!!!!!!!
April 2006... We headed North to New York for our first Workamper position in Copake. Jerry likes to drive no more than 200 miles a day, no sense rushing things, after all we're in no hurry ! haha!! We both decided to visit family and friends before starting our new venture. We parked the motorhome in Syracuse with some friends and headed to Norwich, NY to spend a few days with my Mom...
The Traveling Burgess'
Adjusting to living full-time in the motorhome was real easy for us both. We have all we need to eat, sleep and enjoy!! After our first year traveling, we decided to trade up to a diesel unit. We now have a 2006 Cross Country SE by Coachman. It has three slides, one in the bedroom and the other two in the front of the coach. This opens it right up for our everyday living. Jerry feels right at home behind the wheel. As one of our new friends has educated me.... we have a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, dining area, office and of course, a living area for watching TV!!!
